Amman, July 5 (Petra) -King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence (KACE) and the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to drive innovation, competitiveness, and institutional excellence across Jordan's hospitality industry.

Both organizations will run hotel maturity assessments, training programs, and workshops on excellence standards under this partnership.

The MoU also encourages hospitality businesses to compete for the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence and features plans for joint industry conferences and events.

Wedad Qteishat, KACE Executive Director, and Hussein Hilalat, JHA Chairman, signed the agreement.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Qteishat noted the agreement helps KACE spread the best international practices across key sectors, adding that a strong hospitality industry drives the Kingdom's economy and boosts its global tourism appeal.

Hilalat said the agreement will improve hotel performance, raise service standards, and boost competitiveness through targeted assessments, training, and institutional development.

In turn, Hani Dabbas, JHA Deputy Chairman, described the partnership as a "strategic" move to embed excellence throughout the sector.

Dabbas noted the step will push hotels boost operational performance, guest experiences, staff capabilities, and sustainability.

"A more agile and innovative hospitality sector is essential to match global tourism trends," according to Dabbas.

He said investing in excellence directly strengthens Jordan's tourism reputation, global competitiveness, and the goals of its Economic Modernization Vision (EMV).
